Overview
Edward R. Murrow is America's most respected journalist. His weekly shows "See It Now" and "Person to Person" are watched by millions of Americans. In the midst of the Red Scare, Murrow becomes concerned about the actions of Communist-hunting crusader Joseph McCarthy. Together with his producer Fred Friendly, Murrow daringly decides to denounce McCarthy on-air. All who have challenged McCarthy before have been branded Communists and had their careers ruined, but Murrow and Friendly are determined to put their reputations on the line and reveal the truth to the American public.
