The convoluted world of the Washington politics machine crosses paths with a zany Hollywood film produced in this witty and incisive send-up of the political spin cycle and the lengths to which public figures will go to maintain a favorable image in the public. A presidential candidate, in the run-up to his next election, becomes involved in a sex scandal. Rather than throwing in the towel and letting the scandal torpedo the campaign, a savvy aide enlists the help of a Hollywood film maker to help fabricate a war on a studio movie set.
