Overview
In small-town Pennsylvania, Debra Callahan's teenage daughter goes missing. Eleven years scroll by while she both seeks her daughter and raises her grandchild. Debra passes through the ups and downs of working-class, small-town life: self-harm, addiction, abuse, affairs. All the while, Debra is searching for her lost daughter with the help of a police detective as the case slowly grows cold. Debra manages to graduate college and find a good job when her missing daughter's body is found to be the victim of a serial killer.
