Overview
Theresa and Nathan Gardner give up the modern, city life to live with their two children, Lavinia and Benny, on a farm in a rural area of New England. Not long after the move, they witness a meteor shower. One of the meteorites hits their front yard, sinks into the ground and then disappears. They don't think much of the event at first, but then weird colors seems to take over the area and adjacent properties. The world and even space and time start to change around them. As the horror unfolds, the Gardeners begin to fear that insidious aliens have chosen the Earth for terraforming.
