Overview
Jesse, the boy who helped to free the orca Willy three years earlier, has a happy life with his adoptive family, which has expanded to include his half-brother Elvis. The four of them go on a camping trip and are reunited with Jesse's old friend Randolph, who was one of Willy's caretakers. He also meets Randolph's goddaughter Nadine, and a romance begins to develop. Meawhile, Willy is nearby with his family, and the unconventional friends have an emotional reunion. Everyone's well-being is threatened because of an oil spill, and Jesse is particularly concerned about Willy and the other orcas. Together, he hopes that he, his family and his friends will be able to get the whales to a safe spot far away from the oil.
