Overview
While a teenager, Ali Jacobs, grows up in Manhattan in 1995, the world changes rapidly around her: The internet starts to become a bigger communication tool than anyone ever expected even as most people continue to communicate primarily via landline phones. Ali, who splits her time between her sister Dana's apartment and her parent's home, struggles with navigating offline and emerging online social scenes. After discovering from their father's emails that he's having an affair, Ali and Dana move home, start to question their life choices and try to prevent their family from self-destructing from life in a faster-paced world.
