Overview
In the 1960s, an innocent teenager named Frances "Baby" Houseman vacations at a resort in the Catskill Mountains with her wealthy parents. Johnny Castle, the resident dance instructor at the resort Baby is staying at recruits her to be his new dancing partner. Baby's father forbids her from associating with the working class dance instructor, but the rambunctious teen is determined to be a part of the summer's last big dance routine. What follows is a torrid love affair with Johnny that has a great effect on the entire Houseman family.
