Overview
Terrie McKay and Nickie Ferrante believe they are happy until they meet on a transatlantic cruise. They quickly strike up a romance and bond after Nickie introduces her to his grandmother. Inspired by his new relationship, Nickie agrees to break up with his fiancee and try to begin a career as a painter. The couple plans to meet at the Empire State Building in six months. Nickie throws himself into his new profession, showing a considerable talent for art. However, when he goes to the rendezvous spot at the appointed time, Terrie does not arrive. As he desperately searches for Terrie, she struggles to hide from him, concealing a terrible secret.
