Overview
In the 1880's, many people were trying to create a viable electricity system in the United States to provide power to the masses that would also be sustainable in the long run and highly marketable. Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse and Nikola Tesla were among those who imagined this brave new world and a country where people would no longer have to rely on candles, gas and fire to light their way in their homes, in their backyards and on their streets. After Westinghouse discovered that Edison's design has a flaw, a war to be the first to provide "current" began.
