Rollie Tyler is a master of special effects, a reputation he has earned while working on a series of low budget slasher films. His expertise brings him to the attention of the Department of Justice, who hires him to stage the murder of mob informant Nicholas DeFranco so he can enter the Witness Protection Program. The staged assassination appears to go flawlessly, but complications quickly ensue when an innocent bystander is killed by a rogue DOJ agent. Tyler find himself on the run the next morning when his girlfriend is killed by a sniper aiming for him. Working with the DOJ agent who hired him, Tyler attempts to uncover the truth about the murders, while also trying to outwit a New York city detective who is bent on finding DeFranco and charging him with murder. |
