This fantasy drama focuses on the journey of a mute warrior living in Denmark named One Eye. When he manages to murder the man who enslaved him in order to escape, he takes a young boy with him to serve as an interpreter. One Eye joins a group of men known as the Christian Vikings who are on their way to Jerusalem in order to reclaim that city. One Eye and his young charge encounter many difficulties along the way, with the mute warrior finding himself having to rely on his wits as well as his skills as a warrior not only to save his own life but also to protect the young boy from harm. |
