Overview
Ernest P. Worrell is a blundering janitor at a bank, oblivious to the bad people of the world and loving of everyone; however, hilarity follows close when he’s chosen for jury duty, allowing a crooked lawyer to learn that Ernest bears a striking resemblance to murderer, Felix Nash. To spring Mr. Nash from jail, the lawyer orchestrates a swap where Ernest is knocked out and placed in custody as the death-row inmate. While Nash walks free, Ernest tries desperately to escape Draccup Penitentiary, but winds up in the electric chair instead. The volts flow through his body, but rather than killing him, he’s blessed with electric super-powers that allow him to spring from prison and find that no-good Mr. Nash before he commits another crime.
