Overview
Prosperity, Arizona is a small mining community dealing with a spider problem. A man named Joshua unwittingly collected a group of crickets exposed to toxic waste and fed them to his pet spiders. The spiders begin to grow, and it doesn't take long for them develop a taste for humans. A young boy, Mike, is the first to realize the danger, but he can't convince the adults around him, including Chris McCormick, a local mine owner, and his mother, Samantha Parker, who is the town's sheriff. Sam and Chris finally see the spiders for themselves and mobilize a handful of townspeople with the help of paranoid radio DJ Harlan Griffiths.
