Overview
Edward Scissorhands is a gentle soul created by a brilliant but lonely man. The almost-human-looking Edward is haunted by the fact that his creator died before he could give him proper hands. He is left with scissors for hands, rendering him a potential danger to those around him, especially if he becomes panicked. Edward is a gentle soul, though, and he longs for companionship. A kind woman from the nearby town offers to take him in, and he begins to make friends, impressing many with his flair for cutting hair and sculpting topiaries. However, his interest in a teenage beauty named Kim incites the wrath of her boyfriend, and the potential of an idyllic life in this community dissipates as he is ganged up on.
