This true story is focused on the Newlyn School of Artists, particularly the Lamorna Group. These artists lived a wild, bohemian lifestyle, and they were determined not to be brought down by society's expectations. Their raw talent was something to behold, and they continued to hone their craft together even as the tone of the world around them began to change. Alfred Munnings is the central figure, while other artists in this group include Harold and Laura Knight, Gilbert Evans and Florence Carter-Wood. While a searing love triangle begins to develop and threaten the tranquility of this little group, larger rumbles of discontent loom over the picturesque Cornish horizon. How will their way of live survive when World War I erupts in all its fury?
