An unlikely trio must work together in order to find a young man who has disappeared near the U.S.-Mexico border. Old friends Bernice and Fontayne reunite after 20 years of estrangement to search for Benice’s missing son. Bernice is a parole officer dedicated to her job, and Fontayne is an off-and-on junkie struggling to stay clean. They are joined in their quest by Freddy Suarez, an aging former police officer, now disgraced after being fired by the force and denied pension. His eyesight is poor, but his experience proves to be an asset to the two women in their search. |
