Overview
Chris Smith, a young drug dealer in Texas, owes a lot of money to a very bad character. Chris’s father, Ansel, and his mother, Adele, are divorced, and Ansel has a new girlfriend, Sharla. Chris concocts a scheme with Ansel to murder his mother and collect the insurance money, because they believe that the beneficiary is Dottie, Chris’s sister. They make a deal with Joe Cooper, a detective who is also a hitman, to kill Adele, but Joe wants to be paid in advance. Chris and Ansel don’t have the money, so Joe wants to take Dottie as hostage until they collect the insurance money. After Joe kills Adele, Chris realizes that he has been duped when he finds out that Rex, Adele’s new boyfriend, is the actual beneficiary of the insurance.
