Overview
Kai is a young falcon who has been stiflingly sheltered by his father Tendai. A chance meeting with a traveling stork leaves Kai wondering about a thriving bird community in South Africa named Zambezia. Kai effectively runs away from his father and joins the stork in route to the bird city. Tendai tries desperately to catch up to Kai but comes across several animals who are planning an invasion of the peaceful community. Tendai must do his best to stall the invaders and warn the citizens of Zambezia of the imminent attack.
