Overview
Paul Kersey goes to Brooklyn to visit Charley, an old Korean War buddy. However, when Kersey walks into Charley’s apartment, he finds that Charley has been shot and is dying. The police burst in and wrongfully arrest Kersey for murder. Richard Shriker, the police chief, recognizes Kersey as “Mr. Vigilante” and decides to make a deal with him to go after the gang, run by Manny Fraker, who are terrorizing the neighborhood and are the ones who actually killed Charley. Paul purchases a Magnum and sets out to start killing the gang members and to eliminate Fraker, who retaliates by killing other people, especially the women close to Kersey. Shriker takes his Browning machine gun and joins Kersey in the battle against the criminals.
