Overview
When Langston Cobb's mother Naima faces foreclosure from her Baltimore apartment, the young teenager is forced to spend the holidays with her parents in New York, people that Langston has never met. Langston is not quite prepared for the Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs' overbearing rules nor for their unwillingness to discuss the long-buried rift that separated them from their daughter. Langston takes off on a journey back home. Along the way he encounters some interesting characters who become his friends. With some heavenly intervention, Langston learns the true value of faith and family, becoming a changed man in the process while helping his family to reconcile and mend the broken hearts that time has not healed.
