John and Alice Macy are a young couple struggling to make ends meet. John has a less than desirable job as a salesman to try and help Alice reach her potential. However Alice has her goals set too high, wanting to start at the top rather than climbing the ladder of success one rung at a time. Bad goes to worse when John gets fired before Alice can find her dream job. John is driving with Alice in the car when they crash in front of an antique shop. Alice gets a strange attraction to an old brass teapot and steals it.The couple soon realizes that the little teapot had powers. It makes them money, but they have to hurt themselves for the magic to work. A wise sage, Dr. Ling appears and tries to convince the couple to get rid of the teapot. It is evil and will destroy them. Alice can't stop her attachment to the teapot and goes on to become the epitome of evilness.The storyline is based on the comic book series "The Brass Teapot." |
