Teddy Raymond is a former football coach, an author of a popular self-help book and a complete recluse. Among the many people who owe Teddy a debt of thanks for the words that have changed their lives are a mobster trying to convince his smarter partner that they should quit being criminals, an undercover policeman trying to stop his habit of shooting bad guys, a priest with his own addictions counseling the cop and a woman recently released from prison whose crime was setting fire to her ex's house. An online journalist, however, is out to spark his own career by making Teddy Raymond a public celebrity, warts and all. It all comes to a climax when they all meet on a San Diego pier. |
