Overview
John Sedley has been stuck with the derisive nickname Johnny Handsome thanks to a horribly disfigured face. It has left him few career alternatives other than a life of crime. A botched robbery becomes a blessing in disguise when Johnny and a buddy, Mickey Chalmette, are betrayed by two other robbers, Sunny Boyd and Rafe Garrett. Mickey is killed and Johnny lands behind bars. While in prison Johnny undergoes an operation to change his face. Once paroled he also begins to rebuild his life. He gets an honest job and settles into a relationship with a good woman, Donna McCarty. But is Johnny really ready to forget the past and forgive Sunny and Rafe? A suspicious cop, A.Z. Drones, doesn't think so.
