Overview
A lawyer known as The Counselor is eager to get married to his lovely girlfriend Laura and is thrilled when she accepts his proposal. However, his seemingly idyllic life is about to take a very dark turn. He has been dabbling in drug trafficking, and such illicit activities have a way of catching up to people as someone as well-versed in the law as he is ought to know. Both the lawyer and his fiancee become caught up in a dangerous game of evading Mexican drug cartels. A middleman named Westray is instrumental in helping him navigate the treacherous journey ahead of him as they dodge violent drug runners and make new allies and enemies. Will Counselor and Laura ever make it to their wedding?
