It's the first day at a new high school for a girl with special powers. She is a caster and can use her powers for good or evil. While at school, she hears notorious gossip about her family. Despite the rumors, she meets a boy who recalls dreaming of her, and they fall in love. He finds a locket, which he gives to her. At that moment, they travel back in time and witness their ancestors in an epic scene where one dies and the other casts a spell to bring him back to life. This ancient spell backfires affecting the future of both of their families. Determined to break the curse, the girl engages the help of a seer who helps casters. Eventually, she realizes she must give up her boyfriend to save him, but it's not that easy. The spell must claim a loved one. She realizes her boyfriend will never be safe, so she wipes all details of their love from his mind. In the end, it appears, love wins out. |
