Overview
Beldar (Akroyd) and his wife end up crashing into Earth after their ship malfunctions. Upon making contact with their superiors, they find that it will be many years before they can return home, so they must assimilate to the strange new culture they are immersed in so as to survive. Beldar, a soon-to-be father, finds work, starts his own business, and then purchases a home, obtaining a slice of the American dream. All the while, a federal agent is searching for him so as to rid the country of illegal aliens.
