Overview
The Bandit has made an $80,000 wager that he can get a truckload of beer from Texas to Georgia in only 28 hours. Keep in mind that in 1977, it was illegal to sell the Coors brand anywhere east of the Mississippi River. Enter Sheriff Buford T. Justice, better known as “Smokey.” Not only is Sheriff Buford after the Bandit, but he’s also after his future daughter-in-law, Carrie, who has unwittingly hitched a ride with the Bandit in an attempt to escape a wedding that she wants no part of. This is an extremely long car chase filled with adventure, laughter, and surprises befitting a hilarious Road Runner cartoon.
