Trailer | Overview Adam Carlson, an Alaskan news reporter, gets wind of a breaking story up in the Arctic Circle. With moving ice, a gray whale family has been systematically cornered into a small breathing hole with miles of ice blocking them from open sea. Carlson looks to his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Kramer, to help with the situation. As part of Greenpeace, she has connections in the area to help the whales out of the trapped position. Indigenous whale hunters, Greenpeace and the American government becomes involved in this volatile situation. Without a clear strategy to release the whales, Kramer and her associates trust in the help of two innovative men who have a de-icing machine. Trying to keep the whales' breathing hole open, this unusual group of people must find a way to break the ice and save the whales' lives. |
