After losing his wife, Jake Barnes decides he has had enough with his life and needs a change. A former commercial airline pilot, Jake quickly accepts a job in nearby Alaska flying toilet paper and other supplies to the remote towns and villages over the mountains. However, Jakes kids Sam and Jessie aren't thrilled about leaving their home, but know that their father needs the movie. While they get settled in Alaska, Jake takes a =dangerous emergency mission during a snow-storm. Believing he can make it through the storm, he sets off only for his plane to go down somewhere in the mountains. The authorities do all they can, but are unwilling to set off in search of Jake until after the storm has cleared. Frustrated that the authorities won't go look for their father, they set out in snow shoes and track across dangerous terrain to find and save their father. |
