Overview
When a teenage girl turns up dead in a small Alaska town, two police detectives are sent to investigate. One of them accidentally shoots the other while giving chase to a subject. However, instead of admitting his guilt, he's given a convenient alibi. As soon as he chooses to lie, though, his guilt over his partner's death increases tenfold. He finds himself lying awake at night even as he's supposed to be solving a murder. In addition, he's trying to deal with blackmail. And in the midst of all of this, another detective is investigating the death of his partner. All of the factors come together to create a huge mess that he's not sure he can escape.
