This sobering drama follows the lives of two people in London whose futures are forever changed when terrorists exploded bombs inside the London subway on July 7, 2005, some four years after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. The widowed Mrs. Sommers and the Muslim Ousmane are drawn together by sharing the same fate: each has not been able to make contact with a child following the attacks. Mrs. Sommers cannot reach her daughter, Jane, while Ousmane has no idea what has happened to his son, Ali. They join forces to search through the city, determined to find their children, and in the process discover that Ali and Jane, despite their divergent backgrounds, had been dating each other. |
