Luke Chisolm is well on his way to becoming a professional athlete in the world of golf. But only days away from going pro, Luke crumbles to the pressure of a lifetime of high expectations and achievement. Following his disappointment and disillusionment with golf, Luke escapes the public eye and lingers in the doubt of if he will ever return to the sport. During his despair, Luke crashes his car at a small town in Texas and befriends local farmer Johnny Crawford.
