Overview
Loosely based on the children's book of the same name, focuses on Tom Popper, a businessman whose workaholic ways have torn his family apart. Now divorced and without custody of his children, he focuses more of his attention on his work than ever, but that begins to change after the arrival of a penguin sent by his father, an arctic explorer who was largely absent during his childhood. While Tom doesn't intend to keep this frosty intruder, in the attempt to return it, he accidentally orders it some playmates, and he soon has six penguins and an apartment that's beginning to look like the North Pole. When his kids visit, they're entranced, and the relationship begins to heal as his work suffers.
