Overview
Sam Bowden is an attorney who has moved to a small Florida town to try to save his marriage. He has had problems with fidelity in the past, but it doesn’t seem like this move is going to help cure that. Those are small problems compared to the storm that is approaching. Max Cady is a fearsome inmate who is in prison for rape. Bowden was his defense attorney at the time, and Cady learns that Bowden hid a key piece of evidence that could have led to his acquittal. Furious with this injustice, Cady vows to get his revenge on Bowden. Cady comes to the small Florida town and begins a reign of terror against Bowden and his family. There is no knowing how far his revenge will go before the nightmare is over.
