Overview
Rudy Baylor is fresh out of law school with a head full of dreams and lofty ideals. He wants to change the world by defending the defenseless, but he's having a hard time getting any work as an attorney at all. Then he teams up with the cynical Deck Shifflet to take on an intimidating case that seems impossible to win. The clients are an elderly couple who are desperate to save their son's life. His insurance company refuses to pay for the operation that he needs, and it is up to Rudy and Deck to prove that the company is corrupt and force it to pay up. For his first major case, it's a very difficult one that will require all of Rudy's resolve.
