Overview
Dan Barnes is well-accustomed with violence, not only receiving it but giving it as well as a professional boxer. He retires from the ring after tiring of the violent lifestyle, and he takes a job as a high school janitor. When he sees a new student, Matthew Miller, getting targeted by a crew of bullies, he takes Matthew under his wing and teaches him how to defend himself. With Dan's mentoring, Matthew learns to stand up to the bullies, even Hector Torres, the school's boxing champion. In the process Dan realizes the violent lifestyle he's led his whole life and takes steps to finally deal with the personal demons he's always battled.
