Overview
Seventeen year old Joshua 'J' Cody seeks shelter with family he barely knows after his mother dies from a heroin overdose. His grandmother, Janine ‘Smurf’ Cody is head of a notorious crime family that includes her three sons, ‘Pope’, Craig, and Darren. She agrees to take J in, and he quickly gets caught in the middle between the criminal activities of his uncles and the law enforcement agents trying to rein them in. When Nicky, J's girlfriend, get's killed by Pope, J finally agrees to enter the witness protection program and assist law enforcement. After escaping a trap set by his grandmother that was meant to end in his death, J orchestrates a meeting between himself and Pope, who he then shoots in the head.
