Overview
Lincoln Rhyme, a retired quadriplegic New York City detective, teams up with tough patrol cop Amelia Donaghy to solve a series of murders all connected by one key clue: every victim has had a shard of bone surgically removed. The killer poses as a taxi driver, trapping his victims in the backseat by locking the doors. As Amelia investigates the crime scenes Lincoln communicates via headset to give her instructions and mentor her in becoming a detective. As the bodies begin to pile up, the clues the killer leaves behind become more and more complex; scraps of paper, an old screw, and an old police badge. Will they be able to find the killer before he strikes again?
