Overview
Tom is a surveillance expert who is on the rise in his career and also lives in a suburban Pennsylvania home with his wife and infant daughter. After being invited to the home of a late industry captain, the captain's widow discovers a snuff film that depicts what appears to be the mysterious murder of an unidentified girl. She asks Tom to find the woman and determine whether she is still alive. Tom finds out the woman's identity and follows the trail of her life leading up to the film. His pursuit leads him to Hollywood, where he meets a pornographer and a world he hadn't anticipated.
