| Overview
Tex is an Oklahoma boy living alone with his older brother, Mason, while their father works a rodeo circuit for months at a time. Tex lives a relatively quiet, happy life and loves spending time with his horses on the farm. One day he finds that Mason sold the horses to ensure that the boys would have enough to eat over the winter, since their father hasn't sent any money. This creates a rift in their relationship. They have friends next door, but the father of that family, Mr. Collins, forbids any relationships with Mason and Tex, believing them to be a bad influence. Tex decides to run away to the city, but soon realizes that the best place for him is with his brother. |
