Overview
Detective Maurice Pogue is suffering from a serious case of constant memory loss. Unable to remember the events from one day to the next, he must resort to setting down a tape recording of his work every night and replaying it the next day to pick up the thread. The mysterious Sarah Novak appears on the scene, claiming to be a victim of blackmail; suddenly, Novak is dead and Pogue is taken into the company of Philip Cornell, who wants to bribe Pogue for his silence on the topic of Novak's murder. Pogue investigates further, to the best of his ability, and meets another Sarah Novak -- this one claiming to be the real one, and in more danger than ever from the ruthless Cornell.
