Overview
When 10-year-old Ryan Taylor receives a plane ticket to visit his father in China, he is hesitant to take up the offer. Ryan feels that Michael, his father, abandoned him when he left America to work as a zoologist in China. However, Ryan finally decides to give his dad a chance and takes the plane. After arriving in China, Ryan learns more about Michael’s work in saving giant pandas and begins to understand why his father made the choice to live there. In the meantime, Ryan also befriends Ling, their young translator. Together, the unlikely group embarks on a mission to rescue panda cubs, stop malicious poachers, and ultimately save an entire panda reserve.
