Dr. Watson dreams up the imaginary Sherlock Holmes as a literary character, and presents him as an actual detective to the public. He tries to conduct the detective work himself and claim the credit for solving the cases that he conjures in his writings, but he doesn't count on Sherlock becoming so popular. When potential clients start showing up at the office to consult with the famous detective, he is forced to hire a less-than-able actor, who doesn't understand anything at all about the story that Watson has concocted. As Dr. Watson's own detective skills come up short, he is forced to again concede the credit for the detective work to Sherlock. Will the truth about the literary detective and the false actor be revealed?
