| Overview
When Connie Doyle tells her boyfriend that they are going to have a child, he responds by evicting her from their apartment. While wandering around, a crowd pushes her onto a train, where she befriends the Winterbournes, a newly married couple. When the train wrecks, the happy couple dies, but Connie survives and is thought to be the woman she had befriended. The man's wealthy family had never met his wife, so they were happy that she and her baby had survived the accident. They take her into their home, where she must pretend to be the grieving widow and new mother. She falls in love with the man's brother, Bill. She knows she must tell him the truth, especially when her ex finds out where she is and tries to blackmail her to stay silent. |
