Overview
Sam Baily is seeking revenge after he is fired from his job at a museum. He returns with a gun and takes a number of people hostage, including his former boss, a group of children, and Max Brackett, a news reporter who happened to be in the museum conducting an interview. Brackett soon takes on the role of go-between for Baily and the police. At the same time, Brackett sees the situation as an opportunity for a career-making story. He negotiates a deal for exclusive reporting rights with a national news network, but it doesn't take long before Brackett is making news himself. Meanwhile Baily becomes more insecure as he continues to lose control of the situation.
