Overview
Based on the Hunter S. Thompson novel by the same name, journalistic writer Raoul Duke travels to Las Vegas to cover the Mint 400 race, but this turns out to be a trivial subplot to the whole movie. Raoul Duke, also known as Hunter S. Thompson, accompanies his lawyer with an additional suitcase of every drug imaginable including a salt shaker full of cocaine, two sheets of LSD, a bag of marijuana and an eclectic mix of uppers and downers. What should have been a simple journalistic assignment turns into a surreal escapade of drug filled bizarre adventures.
