Overview
Almost everyone is mad at writer Harry Block. He keeps disguising episodes from his life in his fiction. This particularly angers his former girlfriend, and also his ex-wife, who refuses to let Harry take their son to an event at which he is being honored for his writing. Harry wants his old girlfriend to go, but she’s getting married. Another friend, who is dying, says he won’t go. In despair, Harry decides to get a prostitute to go with him, since he doesn't have anyone else. Then he runs into some of his own characters. By the end of the day, Harry has realized that he does better in his fictional worlds than when he tries to navigate the real one.
