Detective John Berlin's life has already crashed and burned when he decides to leave Los Angeles in favor of a job in more rural Eureka. But he soon finds himself embroiled in the case of a serial killer with a penchant for murdering blind girls who has already killed seven victims. Berlin encounters the beautiful roommate of the seventh victim, Helena, while working the case which the city's detectives have nicknamed "Jennifer 8" and begins to feel a romantic attraction. Berlin begins to feel certain that the killer will soon begin stalking Helena as his eighth victim. His obsession with the case, however, endangers the life of a long-time friend and soon has Berlin needing a reason to remove himself from the list of suspects. |
