Overview
It is 1940s Los Angeles. A police squad known as the "Hat Squad" work to enforce their anti-gangster regulations within the city, protecting its inhabitants from the danger of crime of all sort. The men belonging to this hard knock group are no saints themselves as they are notorious for their own moral ambiguity, breaking the law for the sake of their own interests while merely doing their duty as the law commands. An investigation suddenly sparks when a woman is murdered; a woman whose erotic lifestyle has been linked to several top-notch men including a U.S. Army general and a member from the Hat Squad itself. The case becomes complicated, but the major issue that arises is the FBI's intervention and attempted cover-up.
