In the world of Australian ballroom dance competition, dancers must conform to convention if they want to win. One dancer, Scott, who was raised in a family that has ballroom dancing in its blood, wants to win the championship but with his own style, using his own steps. When his dance partner leaves him in a rage after his individuality causes them to lose a contest, he takes a chance and starts rehearsing with Fran, a dancer who is new to the ballroom scene and who lacks visual pizazz. It turns out that her family has a dance history too. Can the unlikely pair overcome the rigid traditions and cutthroat competitiveness and emerge as champions? |
